Welcome to Object Animation with instructor Christopher Magee.
In this class, we explore the possibilities of animated movement using various under-the-camera techniques, including pixilation, rotoscope, cutout, sand, and stop-motion puppets. Students are asked to familiarize themselves with different media on a weekly basis, discovering its personality and expressive capacities. Emphasis is placed on internalizing a sense of movement through tactile means while taking advantage of what each material has to offer.
